법왕청신문 이존영 기자 | 지난 7월 27일부터 4일간 아프리카 에티오피아 수도 아디스아바바에 소재한 청소년 스포츠 아카데미 체육관에서 세계 홍익태권도 및 세계종합 무도 대회가 열렸다. 올해 3월 호주 제1회 대회에 이어 두 번째 열린 국제대회이다. 지리적으로 가까운 아프리카 18개 나라에서 태권도, 우슈, 가라테, 절권도, ITF, WTF 등 각종 무술을 연마한 사람들과 관계자 5,000여 명이 모여 겨루기와 품새 등 많은 볼거리를 제공 했다는 평가다. 이 대회는 세계홍익태권도연맹(총재 이천공), 세계종합무도연맹(총재 손광석), 국제프로태권도연맹(총재 권성근), 세계무술합기도연맹(회장 김화식), 레전드오르미아가 공동으로 주최했다. 에티오피아는 아프리카 동쪽의 돌출부에 있으며 인구는 약 1억 2천만 명에 달하고 외세의 지배를 받은 적이 없는 역사적 자부심이 강한 나라로서 아직 농업 중심 국가이지만 최근 지속적 인구 증가는 성장할 기회의 땅으로 평가받고 있다. 국토 대부분이 해발 1,000m 이상 고산, 고원지대로 특히 수도 아디스아바바는 해발 2,300m 높이의 고지대로 비교적 서늘한 날씨를 보여 일반적인 아프리카 열대 날씨와는 대조를 이룬다. 우리나라와는

법왕청신문 이존영 기자 | 경산시립박물관은 28일 시립박물관 강당에서 '제17기 박물관대학'의 수료식을 성황리에 개최했다. 제17기 박물관대학은 수강생 150명 중 127명의 수료생을 배출했다. 이번 수료식에서 모든 수료생에게 수료증을 수여하고, 학생자치회 회장인 정문교(남) 씨와 최고령 수료생인 박영길(남, 80세), 김동기(여, 74세) 씨에게 시장 표창을 수여했다. 한편, 지난 5월 17일 개강해 매주 금요일 11주간 진행된 제17기 박물관대학은 '경산의 역사와 문화'를 주제로 인골을 통해 보는 고대 경산 사람들, 진한 지배자의 무덤이 확인된 양지리유적, 경산의 석탑과 불교미술, 원효의 사상, 압독의 귀금속 장신구 문화 등 8번의 강좌와 2차례의 문화유적답사를 진행했다. 2007년에 처음 강좌가 개설되어 올해로 17기를 맞은 박물관대학은 역사와 전통문화를 주제로 한 차별화 된 역사문화 강좌와 문화유적지 답사로 수강생들의 열띤 호응을 얻고 있다. 매년 새로운 주제를 선정하여 관련분야 국내 권위자들을 초빙하여 최신 연구 성과를 소개함으로써 강좌 내용 수준이 매우 높다는 평가를 받는 경산시 대표 역사문화 강좌이다. 경산시립박물관 박물관대학은 현재까지 2천 1

법왕청신문 이존영 기자 | 원주시역사박물관은 7월 29일부터 11월까지 치악산 천년고찰 ‘구룡사’에서 ‘2023년 전통산사 문화재 활용사업’을 진행한다. ‘구룡사, 천년을 품고 문화를 잇다.’라는 주제로 진행되는 이번 사업은 구룡사의 창건 설화 창작음악극과 구룡사의 대표 문화재인 ‘삼장보살도’(보물 제1855호)의 미디어아트 제작 전시 등 전통사찰의 문화재로써의 가치와 아름다움을 전달할 독창적인 프로그램으로 구성됐다. 첫 프로그램인 ‘구룡사, 오색으로 담다’는 29일(토) 오전 10시 30분부터 오후 1시 30분까지 진행되며, 불화에서 자주 쓰이는 오색(五色)과 불교의 대표적 문양인 ‘만다라’를 활용한 에코백, 손수건 만들기 체험으로 이루어진다. 전통산사 문화재 활용사업에 대한 세부 프로그램과 자세한 사항은 원주시역사박물관 홈페이지를 확인하면 된다. 차순덕 역사박물관장은 “전통산사 문화재 활용사업을 통해 원주시의 대표 고찰인 구룡사가 더욱 사랑받는 문화재로 발돋움할 것이라 생각한다.”며, “구룡사만이 가지고 있는 문화유산의 가치와 아름다움을 강원 지역을 넘어 전국에 알릴 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다.”라고 밝혔다.
