생활 장성군 삼계면 여성자원봉사회 봉사활동 ‘주목’
법왕청신문 이존영 기자 | 장성군 삼계면 여성자원봉사회가 화재로 갈 곳을 잃은 사창성모지역아동센터 아이들을 위해 봉사활동을 펼쳤다. 앞서 삼계면 행정복지센터는 원불교 사창교당과 함께 사창성모지역아동센터 아이들이 머물 수 있는 임시 시설을 마련했다. 공간은 확보했지만 청소와 정리를 할 일손이 턱없이 부족했다. 이에 삼계면 여성자원봉사회가 팔을 걷고 나섰다. 회원들은 아이들이 편안하고 쾌적하게 지낼 수 있도록 실내 먼지를 닦아내고 쓰레기를 수거하며 구슬땀을 흘렸다. 김효임 여성자원봉사회장은 “아이들이 바르고 건강하게 자라길 바라는 마음으로 이번 봉사를 추진하게 됐다”며 “앞으로도 도움이 필요한 이웃을 위해 적극적으로 나서겠다”고 전했다. 안보현 삼계면장은 “생업으로 바쁜 데도 불구하고 봉사에 참여해 주신 여성자원봉사회에 감사드린다”면서 “면도 어려움에 처한 주민을 돕는 데 더욱 앞장서겠다”고 말했다.

사회일반 고액기부자 세액공제 확대추진
법왕청신문 이존영 기자 | 정부가 기부를 활성화하기 위해 기부금에 대한 세액공제를 확대하는 방안을추진하고 있다. 기존의 세액공제율을 높이거나, 더 높은세액공제율을 적용하는 구간을 새로 만드는 방안 등이 거론된다. 10일 기획재정부는 고액 기부에 대한세제 지원 방안을 검토하고 있다고 밝혔다. 기재부는 앞서 지난 4일 '2023년하반기 경제정책방향'에서 "고액 기부에 대한 세제지원을 확대하겠다”고했는데, 이를 구체화하고 있는 것이다. 현재 개인이 정당이나 종교단체, 사회복지시설 등에 기부를 하면 예 : 1000만원까지 15%를 공제받고, 이를 초과하는 금액에 대해서는 세액공제율30%가 적용된다. 2000만원을 기부할 경우 1000만원까지 150만원, 초과분인1000만원에 대해 300만원 등 총 450만 원을 연말정산 때 돌려받게 된다. 정부는 이달 말에 발표할 올해 세제개편안에 구체적인 방안을 담을 예정이다.기재부 관계자는 “여러 방안을 검토하고 있고, 아직 도입이 유력하다고 할만한 방안은 없다"고 했다.

법왕청신문 이존영 기자 | 서울시 도봉구 대한불교조계종 총무원장의 방문을 계기로 서울시 기념물 제28호로 지정된 영국사 및 도봉서원 터의 활용 방안에 물꼬를 텄다. 대한불교조계종 총무원장 진우스님은 이번 방문에서, 전국 최초로 한 문화유산 공간에 불교와 유교가 상생활용하는 방안에 대한 긍정적인 뜻을 도봉구에 전달했다. 대한불교조계종 총무원장(진우스님), 기획실장(성화스님), 문화부장(탄원스님)은 지난 7월 10일 도봉구를 방문했다. 총무원장 진우스님은 오언석 도봉구청장을 만나 영국사 및 도봉서원 터의 현황에 대한 설명을 듣고 영국사 및 도봉서원 터 현장을 직접 확인했다. 2009년 서울시 기념물 제28호로 지정된 도봉서원과 각석군은 1573년(선조6년) 창건해 정암 조광조와 우암 송시열을 배향했던 대표적인 사액서원이다. 도봉구는 2011년 노후된 도봉서원을 복원하기 위한 계획을 세우고 발굴작업을 진행했으나, 발굴 결과 고려시대 영국사 터임을 증명하는 유물이 대거 출토됐다. 이 중 금강저·금강령 등 10점의 공양구는 2021년 보물로 지정됐다. 이로 인해 영국사 및 도봉서원터를 두고 불교와 유교 간 활용방안에 대한 이견이 있었다.
