6·25전쟁(1950)에서 한·미 양국이 함께 나눈 '굳은 맹세'는 1963년 [한미상호방위조약]으로 굳게 아로새겨졌습니다.

그리고 오늘 우리는 한·미동맹 70주년을 마주 하고 있습니다.

지난 70년 한·미가 함께 걸어온 길은 온갖 고난과 역경을 딛고 군사·경제동맹을 넘어 폭넓은 동맹으로 성장한 자랑스러운 역사가 되었습니다.

이번 전시회를 통해 한·미가 지난 70년 동안 만들어낸 성장과 기적의 역사를 되새기고 함께 경축하는 소중한 기회가 되길 희망합니다.
